FAQs
Do you take insurance?
No, I do not participate in any insurance panels at this time. I require payment via cash, Zelle, or check at time of service. I can provide a superbill of services for you to provide to your insurance company at your request.
Why don’t you take insurance?
The reason for my rates (aside from my confidence in my expertise) is the fact that I carry a small caseload and this practice is not my only source of income, thus I give close attention and care to each one of my private patients. At my practice, you are not a number. Additionally, my rates are inclusive of any time I may spend on documentation, paperwork, completing prior authorizations with insurance companies, providing you with medication refills in a prompt and timely manner, etc.
Can I be your patient no matter where I live?
As long as you live in New York State, we can work together!
Depending on our discussion during our free consultation, I may request that some children/adolescent patients come in-person for their first appointment at least. Most adults can be seen remotely from their very first session.
The need for in-person sessions depends on clinical judgment and type of medication prescribed.
